Presently I am writing a new novel about a young woman who goes to college and finds it to be more challenging than she expects, emotionally more than academically. Her mother is also a central character, an independent, plainspoken woman who edits an eccentric literary journal.
I've also been working on the final draft of a novel about polyandry, the female equivalent to polygamy. It is set in Washington, D.C.
Lastly, I finished a second collection of short stories that focus on fame and its effects on the famous and their fans, The Virginity of Famous Men. The title story appeared in The Cream City Review, #31.1. Eight other stories included in it have appeared or are forthcoming in Ploughshares, New England Review, storySouth, Barrelhouse, The Literary Review, American Literary Review, Pleiades, and The Southern Review.
My agent is Lisa Bankoff, who is affiliated with ICM (International Creative Management).
